The Way to School Heart Tree Cushion | Illustrated Cotton Cushion (40 × 40 cm)

This The Way to School cushion is inspired by one of the most meaningful walks of my day — the quiet journey to school with my boys. The artwork began as a hand-painted watercolour, rooted in family, routine and the small moments that shape childhood. At its heart is my Heart Tree, a symbol of love, protection and togetherness, surrounded by gently scattered hearts that echo the rhythm of daily life.

The cushion is double-sided. One side features the Heart Tree illustration, while the reverse shows a soft, repeating pattern of the same design, allowing the cushion to feel calm and considered from every angle. I love creating pieces that feel thoughtful rather than decorative — artwork that quietly belongs in a home.

This cushion is printed on natural cotton fabric, giving it a light, tactile feel that suits relaxed, lived-in spaces. It measures approximately 40 x 40 cm and is filled with a comfortable poly pad, making it perfect for sofas, beds, reading corners or family spaces where comfort matters just as much as meaning.
