The Quiet I Kept is an original woodland painting exploring stillness, restraint and the things we carry quietly.
Layers of evergreen trees dissolve into soft mist, creating a sense of depth and calm, that familiar feeling of stepping into the woods and allowing the noise of everything else to fall away.
This piece has become a particularly special part of the Rebsey Art Studio collection. The Quiet I Kept was awarded the People’s Choice Award at The Corsham Gallery Summer Open 2026, chosen by visitors to the exhibition.
Painted in watercolour on canvas, it is a completely unique original artwork.
