Pedalpus

 

Eight arms. Two wheels. About twelve things happening at once.

Pedalpus is inspired by the unexpected side of motherhood — the constant juggling, the plans that change, the things you never saw coming, and the strange ability to just keep going even when it feels like every limb is already occupied.

At the centre of the collection is an octopus on a bicycle, happily pedalling forwards despite having rather a lot to coordinate. For me, that sums up motherhood surprisingly well.

There is always something to carry, remember, organise, fix, answer, find, pack or worry about — and somehow you keep moving.

Created from my original artwork, Pedalpus is a playful celebration of resilience, adaptability and the beautifully ridiculous reality of having more things to think about than feels remotely reasonable.

Sometimes you have eight limbs full. And sometimes you just keep pedalling anyway.
